Helping others has always been a passion of mine.  So, after 7 years in a call centre, I decided to retrain as an Occupational Therapist. I embarked on a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy and after graduating I had a successful 12-year career in the NHS specialising in neuro rehabilitation.

During my time with the NHS I spent many years at Guys and St Thomas NHS Trust as well as some time at Oxleas NHS Trust and Whipps Cross Hospital. Over the years I am so proud to have supported over 11000 individuals through occupational therapy. Stepping Stones Therapy Services Ltd was born in 2016 so I could support adults recovering from neurological trauma or illness. Personally, I find it a very heart-warming experience supporting my clients move from the devastation of a brain injury, to start living rewarding lives again.

My clients will often describe me as having an honest down to earth approach, empathetic manner and a good sense of humour. I meet most of my clients for the first time when they are at a challenging period in their life, so these three qualities are essential. Building positive relationships and working collaboratively with my clients is a vital part of the high-quality service I provide.

Outside of work, I am a wife and a mum to a teenage son and daughter. When I have some time off from work I love nothing more than singing in my community choir, eating out and spending time with my family. When it comes to holidays, it has to be long haul, hot, and with plenty of history and culture!
